Here's a short but fun anecdote from my life that's been drifting through my mind lately...

Years ago when I signed up with Kracked to host this site, I got a few extra email accounts which I never really use. A while back, someone I knew asked to borrow one for a while. I agreed, and didn't think much of it for a year or so.

Fast forward another year, to a point not long after I first met Grey. She needed an email account to play around with which couldn't be traced back to her, so I gallantly offered her my spare account. I was still at the "try desperately to impress her in any way that I can" stage of our relationship, and tried to do her all the geek favors I could.

All was well, until she punched up the account and was greeted by an inbox full of naughty pictures, left over by the last guy to use the thing. My jaw hit the floor, and I still remember the look she gave me.

Of course, I immediately stuttered out some semblance of the explanation, but really, what would you have thought? "Oh, right, this is some other guy's lipstick lesbians. Yep, definitely believe you."

This is one of those "much funnier years after the fact" situations.

Come to think of it, she probably still thinks they were mine. And, I still haven't stopped trying desperately to impress her in any way that I can, but I'm always like that.

Unrelated fun: For the sheer hell of it, I've mirrored a stolen copy of Abbie Hoffman's "Steal This Book." Dig?

And no, I don't know why UPL is down. I wish I did.

Mood - I sleep now.

Kracked was awesome. I miss Micah McCrary, who was the one man behind that operation; he was a fascinating character and a hell of a guy. I wonder who it is that runs Kracked now, and seems to be attempting to market themselves as the same entity despite the fact that they just picked up the domain after Micah passed away.
