Rob @ 10:05 PM

Recently, my boss loaned two of his less popular arcade games (set up for free play) to some children's hospital in Manhattan. While I was suitably impressed by his uncharacteristic display of generosity, and while the games he sent were in perfect working order, and while they are not really bad games in my opinion...

Let's just say that were it me choosing two second-rate arcade machines to send to a bunch of sick and dying children, I just might send something other than "Mortal Kombat 4" and "Die Hard."

In other news, I tried a simple hard drive swap on Matt's new PC yesterday, and the blessed thing wouldn't POST. I was tired and stumped at the same time, which equals Grouchy Rob. Later, I duplicated the experiment with a hard drive made by the same manufacturer which I knew to be bad, and got the same results on a PC of my own. So, that's my theory for him at the mo. Sorry, dude!

Which reminds me, I need to buy a new multimeter.

This could be the most egomaniacal thing I have ever done. Sorry, Aftermath!

From Openfly, via the NYC2600 mailing list:

"Your page sucks. Your background is an atrocity."

Heehee! I love constructive feedback.

Actually, based on the feedback I've been getting on this site for the four years or so I've had it up, most people really like my backgrounds. (When they aren't freezing their browsers, anyway.) Hey, at least I don't use Flash.

On a related note, I just found out that the majority of the traffic on my dear webhost, Kracked, is taken up by this very site. That would never have happened if the PLA still hosted here.

Speaking of Kracked, they are having a special which lasts about another week. Great prices on cheap, dependable, uncensored webspace. I pimp for my pals! Even the ones who, like Kracked's Micah McCrary wrote in my guestbook ages ago, are really pissed off by my animated backgrounds.

No updates in forever, but I'll soon fix that.

My area was buried under two feet of snow on Monday, which rocked. I'll have some photos up soon.

I'll write about the rally as soon as I can.

I worked a twelve-hour shift on Tuesday, a fifteen-hour shift yesterday, and I'm about to leave for work today.

I'm back from the rally. I just barely avoided arrest, I am very drained, physically
and spiritually, and I need to rest.

Thanks to everyone who emailed asking about my welfare. I'll be fine.

In the meantime, read this, this, and this.
