Rob @ 12:09 PM

A lot's been going on lately, and I've been neglecting this site - which may soon be relocated as I believe I've found the best place for it - so I'll ramble.

My job duties are changing, and I'm not sure I like the changes. I'm getting a resumé together.

Katrina is leaving for Texas sometime this coming week, to visit her dad.

I swung by the mall yesterday, in order to check out the infamous "Black Friday," meant to be one of the busiest shopping days of the year. The place wasn't all that busy, so I picked up a couple of things and visited some pals at work. Later, a Jehovah's Witness started testifying to me while I waited for a bus.

I seem to get approached by folks like this much more often as a Pagan than I ever did as the lapsed Catholic I used to be. I do respect folks with strong, positive beliefs they can get something out of, regardless of whether they match my own, but I do have a problem with the fact that so many faiths teach their dedicants to attempt to force their beliefs upon others, in order to "save" them.

I get a lot from my faith. I've been shown time and again how it's the best one for me. And one of my central beliefs is that all positive paths lead the same way. Check out Wiccan Principle #10; "Our only animosity towards Christianity, or toward any other religion or philosophy of life, is to the extent that its institutions have clamed to be "the only way" and have sought to deny freedom to others and to suppress other ways of religious practice and belief."

That doesn't mean I really enjoy being told I'm wrong by someone I wouldn't do the same to.

Still, I remained polite, and we did end up having an interesting discussion. I think I may have cleared up a few of his misconceptions about Wicca, assuming he was actually listening.

As much as I go on, I do have my share of faith-related issues. One is the fact that my dad, who I have pretty much lost touch with, is an Anglican minister. I have yet to come out of the "broom closet" to him. I'm still wondering how that'll go over.

Kracked is dead!

I have no host come the end of the month.

Rest assured, though, should this site disappear, I will return. I just need a new home...

I spent a large amount of free time the other day hacking my Windows XP start button. Fear the results, in XP and Classic modes...

OMG HAX!

Before I get a zillion emails asking how to do this, I wrote a relatively foolproof article detailing the process. I hope to have it up shortly.

Also, I linked the journals of my pals Micah (not my webhost, a different Micah entirely) and HeKtik. Woo!

Okay, so the H2K4 Con is a go for July. However, since so many phone losers over on Cal's are into meeting up there, Murd0c and I have taken it upon ourselves to add a day to the con, just for us.

So, Monday, July 12th, is now designated...

OMG HAX 2k4!!!

So, anyone who's into staying in Manhattan an extra day is welcome to join our unruly mob of hooligans. I can't wait to see how this turns out!
