It's official.  I report for jury duty on Monday.  Here's hoping all goes smoothly.

Covert operations were not that successful, but I still had a great time with Grey on Thursday.

Also on Thursday, Katrina finally began her vacation.  It's weird.. temporally speaking, as the chronometer flies, we've only been living together for a few months.  Still, this place feels really empty without her around.  Yes, after my first night alone, I miss my girlfriend.

In other news, I'm allowed to mess up the place real good now!  Woo!

Jury duty, fresh and fruity.  I may end up in some big OJ trial and be locked up in a jury for months with nothing to show for it but a sweet book deal.  Or, I could end up in some huge "Mothers' And Fathers' Italian Association" trial, and my whole family could be whacked.

I also have some heavy-duty personal stuff going on.  Don't be surprised if I take an Internet break for a while.  I'll be back. though.

In the meantime, here's a long, pointless quiz I swiped from Murd0c:

1.) Using band names, spell out your name

Rammstein
Orbital
B-52s

Twiztid

Faith No More
Information Society
Rockbitch
Erasure
Falco
Loudness
Yeah Yeah Yeahs

2.) Ever had a song written about you?  No.

3) What song makes you cry?  Any time a new Madonna song comes out, I cry.

4) What song makes you happy?  Insane Clown Posse - "The Unveiling"

5) What do you like to listen to before bed?  Something trancey.

So, Adobe wants to remind us that "photoshopping" is not a verb, and they're ready to release the violent corporate lawyers on all who use the word "photoshop" in any unauthorized capacity.

Know what, Adobe?  I'm the photoshopper who photoshopped this photoshop.

Bush and Blair photoshopped!

And I photoshopped it with Paint Shop Pro.

In other news, here's yet another idiotic spam to add to the collection, exactly as I received it...

Hello,

And I couldn't bileeve how simple it was!
Amizang pacth makes you shed the ponuds!

I don't know why, but I collapse into convulsive laughter every time I read this.  It's even more fun to read aloud.

My jury duty card came up.  I have to call for instructions in a couple of weeks.  This should be interesting.

In happier news, Katrina got us a Retrocon controller for the PS2.  It's a fully functional PS2 pad, shaped like the old NES pad.

This is the absolute coolest controller ever for us old farts who grew up on NES.  The analog sticks are even better than most standard PS2 controllers, and it's buttons are backlit for extra grooviness.  Add a PS2-to-USB adaptor, and emulators get extra authentic!

The oddly-crammed-in shoulder buttons are a bit annoying to get used to, but that's my only complaint on it.
