I'm beginning to think the term "hubris" isn't defned in the McDonald's Corporate Handbook.

For those who haven't yet read it, here's a chilling, true story of how foreign journalists coming to the USA without knowledge of a quietly-restored immigration law are treated.

To counteract the morose links above, here's an upbeat tribute to the late President Reagan.

All my deepest congratulations to Kurt Harland and his lovely new wife Michelle!

The happy Mr. and Mrs. Larson can be seen on Lilibat's site.

Are these not the absolute coolest wedding photos ever?

A great old chestnut from livejournal's Wiccan community...

2600 was fun, but short.  I brought my Tom Servo puppet with me, and found that you can get the most interesting comments from friends and strangers when you're carrying one of those.

I met Judas Iscariot and Scientist from Cal's for the first time, and they rock muchly!  I finally gave Judas a package I've been meaning to mail him for months and months.  Half the group vanished at the diner for some reason, though.  Sorry we lost you guys...

Later, Sergy, Leo, Fina, Tom Servo, and I caught Rocky Horror.  Servo felt right at home in a movie theater, and I performed him from the audience.  My riffing wasn't great, since I hadn't seen the flick in a while, but I got a great reaction from the cast and fans.  As soon as I kill off the remaining frames in the disposable camera I used, I'll have photos up.

(Apologies to Kevin Murphy, the real Tom Servo, who is on record as not liking Rocky Horror at all.)

The PLA panel for the Fifth HOPE is confirmed!  Now we have to put something together, and we have one month in which to do it.
