OMG NEW ZINE!!!@#$%^&*

Rob @ 7:37 AM

After a long night banging out a few last articles, designing a simple site around it, and unloading that hideously artsy splash screen I had, I'm excited to announce my new zine.

Read it! Let me know what you think!

Thank you, won't you?

Conspicuous by their absence

Rob @ 4:52 PM

Toronto Crime Stoppers took child pornography from a newsgroup, photoshopped out any victims and/or perpetrators, and posted the sanitized photos online in hopes that someone will recognize the locations and will tip off investigators.

Without that backstory you'll just see photos of empty hotel rooms and such. Knowing what you aren't seeing makes it extremely troubling to look at.

infotainment

Rob @ 2:51 AM

My domain registrar is having a sale.. $2.88 gets you 1 year of a .info domain.

Yeah, they're probably pulling a .ru (first year is really cheap, then they jack up the prices once everyone's comfy in their new URLs.) Nevertheless, I took the opportunity to indulge in a really bad URL joke.

This'll be a random-subject zine when I finish it. Right now I'm having too much fun just designing the splash.

Yo! RTF Raps!

Rob @ 2:46 AM

My pal Arbie lovingly hijacked my old defunct zine, fired linear and I, and released a new issue. Fun stuff!

Among other things, it features a couple of phone-loser-related song parodies of Eminem songs.

One of which I recorded.

Yes, all those voices are me. So is the substandard production.

Flu sucks.

Rob @ 2:41 AM

I shall miss 2600 today. Damn my vulnerability to human disease!

On the bright side, I'm getting a lot of tweaking done on this here blog. You folks reading on the RSS feeds on livejournal and such should be getting the whole post now, for one thing. For another, I've got something of a friends' list up on my blog, with the added bonus that now I can be lazy and click directly to all my non-lj pals.

I wish I could sleep.

Ohhh boy!

"It's official now: UPN has decided to cancel 'Enterprise.' The show's series finale, which may feature Jonathan Frakes (William T. Riker) and Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troi), will air on Friday the 13th of May. The show's fate was probably sealed when last Friday's episode reached only 2.5 million viewers - but even so, the people at EnterpriseFans.com are still trying to raise money for a fan campaign to save the show."

Best slashdot response ever:

"Sam, thank God I found you! Ziggy says there's a 98% chance you've messed up the timeline and pissed off the fans. You've got to fix it before you can leap".

Spam of the week!

Rob @ 11:40 AM

This took me a few minutes to figure out why it struck me as odd...

I know it might seem a little desperate, but how would you like to keep me some company?

Maintaining

Rob @ 10:36 AM

So, after running this particular blog for over three months, I finally got around to fixing a few things. The URLs are prettier, some anti-spam measures should be working their way into place, and stuff.

Exciting, isn't it?

Oh HELL yes!

Tim Burton's Corpse Bride

(no, it's not a Lisa Marie biopic.)
