Anyone out there have any hot tips for one recovering from a state of extreme exhaustion brought on by sustained stress and overwork?

Not counting "STOP WORKING 18-HOUR DAYS ASSHAT!" because that's the bit I've already done. What are the next steps?

I'd so much enjoy having a working brain and body again, the sooner the better.

The only thing I can think of is to replace some of those hours you have been spending working with hours spent sleeping (rather than in front of the computer or tv), knocking yourself out with Nyquil, if necessary.

After that, figure out what imbalances there are in your diet, and overcompensate in the other direrction -- if you've been skimping on the protein, eat lots of protein. If you've been skimping on your fruits and vegies, load up on fruits and vegies, etc.

But mostly? It sounds like hibernation is in order. In the language of fandom, build your own version of a zero-room, and retreat into it, until you are fully regenerated.

You need a visit to Casa de Mara. Healing waters, healing hands, no waiting. Call now, operators are standing by! Call in the next 10 minutes and we'll throw in an extra WEEK at no charge!

A vacation to the beautiful mitten. We have some mighty big swimming pools. That or a new job :( Or sleeping more. Take less jobs that don't pay. Get a girlfriend. Eat fruit.

Shoot up heroin and then shoot up your school. Easy solutions for easy people.

I'm feeling everyone's answers... except the esteemed Murd0c, who always gives the most interesting replies. :-)

You do know that Casa de C4bl3Fl4m3 is always open to you, should you want to take a vacation. And BoltBus is having RIDICULOUSLY low fares, like $1 one way or even $15 one ways to DC from NYC, if you book a few weeks in advance (at least they were).

    Srlsy, tho. Miss ya.

(And on another note, can I crash in your room at HOPE? It will be just me, alas, as the lovely WinterRose will instead be saving up to go to DragonCon.)

What everyone else said and Gatorade. Rehydrate and reelectrolyte!
