Spam fail

Rob @ 4:15 AM

I like when spammers fail at spamming. Here's one I just received, I didn't change a thing.

Hi ~~NAME~~,

I don't care how successful you have or have not been in marketing, but if you have a business and want to get more people to look at your business, then this will help you. The best part is, it won't cost you one red cent!!!

Go here:
~~OWNERWEBSITE~~

Sincerely,

~~OWNERFIRSTNAME~~ ~~OWNERLASTNAME~~
~~OWNERTELEPHONE~~

The moral of the story: if you're going to be an evil spammer, do try to learn how to actually use your evil spam-generation software.

strangely enough, i did that once in a cover letter during on-campus interviewing at law school. i had a skeleton, but instead of attaching the one that i filled in with the information, i attached the skeleton file. i didn't realise this until about two hours before my screening interview with that law firm.

somehow, i managed to play it off well enough that they CALLED ME BACK FOR ANOTHER INTERVIEW, despite my snafu. that entertained me to no end.
