MC Chris ownz!

Just got back from the MC Chris show. After meeting Chris and John in person, I can honestly say they couldn’t be any cooler if you fed them an igloo. Same goes for my fellow MC Chris fans. Thanks, everyone!

More details later, now I go to sleep.

Pics will be much later, since I still have enough shots left on my recyclable digital camera from CVS that it’s worth saving until the Saturday show at Arlenes Grocery.

So, who is MC Chris? Feed me links! :-)

How’s your experience with using the recyclable digital camera? When I first heard the idea of recyclable/disposable cameras, I kind-of boggled at the idea, not quite sure of its utility. But I think I could see it would work. Do they post the pictures on their site for you, and email you the login info? I’m interested in how the process works.

Glad you had fun. Mike (TDK) is looking forward to the shows. :) Missed ya!

MC Chris is the voice of Hesh on “Sealab 2021.” He was also a writer and animator for the show, but dropped those roles to concentrate on his rap career. His first album is freely downloadable from that site.

He does “nerdcore” rap. Star Wars and D&D refs get mixed in with the common rap themes of girls and self-medication. Cool stuff!

As for the cameras, you return them to CVS for developing. They run the pics on premises, as you can get your photos back the same day.

You pay the normal price for a set of prints, but get a high-res photo CD thrown in. In my experience the prints look slightly pixelated, but I don’t give much of a damn about that. The JPGs are really high quality for such a cheezy thing, but the photos do tend toward the bluish in natural light. Nothing a little image tweaking doesn’t fix.

If you can hack the thing (as seems to be in progress here, you can download the jpgs yourself, netting you a digicam of reasonable qualiy for $20. I haven’t done this yet.

Holy crap! He does sound like a 10-year old!
