Photos - The Fifth HOPE |
Here are photos taken by myself (Rob T Firefly) Grey Frequency, as well as Murd0c, and MikeTV during the Fifth HOPE conference in July of 2004. Enjoy the pics!
Of course, if you appear in any of these photos and wish to be removed or obscured, please email me specifying the image's filename and your description, and I'll remove you ASAP. On the other hand, if you're not identified in an image but would like to be, or know who another unidentified person is, please let me know that as well!

Grey finds crooked artwork in her room, and approves. |
One of two painings by our good pal b9punk which were so controversial, that people complained until the hotel removed them from the front windows. Then, they continued complaining. They're probably still complaining. |
An empty area B, where our PLA panel would take place the next day. |
Murd0c HAX! |
Our beloved Big Brother, who watched over the entire con thanks to the folks behind the 1984 comic. |

I get my last licks in on the horrible and overpriced Lindy's Deli, located in the hotel lobby. |
2600's modified telco van had a parking ticket, and we couldn't resist the photo-op. |
Myself and Matt. |
Grey and the van. |
Before we went in to let Emmanuel know about the ticket, we thought we'd leave something marginally less annoying under the other wiper. |

I apologize for that last caption. I'm just very tired. |
We didn't manage to get the building to light up with the con's colors this time around, but it's still cool. |
Judas and MikeTV |

Using two HOPE5 fist logos cut out from programs, we customized the podium's 2600 logo. Any similarities to overused Internet obscenities is purely intentional. |
To give us an idea of the crowd size, Grey took a shot from halfway back... |
...and another from the very back. None of us expected such a turnout! |
The intro to PLATV's critically acclaimed Elephant and Bird, viewable online here. |
Our panel was a smashing success. Thanks to all who helped, and all who attended! |

We had a spindle of PLA Media CDs to give out. We were unprepared for the crowd that stormed the podium for CDs. |
That Guy Matt (orange shirt) futilely attempts to keep order. |
We can't begin to describe how great a time we had. |
