Although I never got the opportunity to play with the actual Commodore 64 much back in the day, I always loved the look of the machine. I found the case design really classy, and the few games I occasionally got to play on them were always entertaining.
I imagine the mysterious glyphs on the fronts of the keys were almost certainly one of those ideas that looked really neat, but were a bit awful to actually use.
