In addition to my little-used blog on this site (complete with dusty RSS feed), I have presences on some external social networks and other services.

• Mastodon – Mastodon is the federated answer to that one site which used to be reasonably fun a long time ago, and it’s the social media thing which matters to me most nowadays.

• Bluesky – Never really used this much, and am not all that inclined to change that while it’s failing this hard on human rights.
• YouTube and Vimeo – Moving pictures with sound!
• SoundCloud – Videos without the distracting imagery!
• Discord – It’s IRC with a coat of trendy and proprietary paint which the kids these days seem to like. You can search for me there at the username Rob_T_Firefly.
• Lemmy – A federated link and discussion aggregator I’ve begun playing with since Reddit went spiraling down the tubes.
• Steam – I’m an anti-DRM activist who doesn’t do online multiplayer gaming, so here’s my massively-hypocritical presence on an online-gaming and DRM service.

(I deleted my Twitter and Reddit accounts. I’ve never been a user of Facebook or other Meta services. Centralized social monoliths are no longer the most fun; the future is federated. Take a moment every now and then to question and reassess the place of all of this stuff in your life.)
